The ‘Dark Knight III’ Team Masters Frank Miller’s Batman

Man Cave has a calling in life, and it’s drinking. (We should probably seek help for that.)

But you can’t drink all the time, despite our best efforts, so when not doing that, our other calling is to get more than three words out of Brian “Silent Cal” Azzarello. It’s a long-standing tradition here, and one that the writer loves to make challenging for us. And rising to that challenge is we he tells us we’re his favorites, so we would not have it any other way.

Although come to think of it, he’s a lot more talkative when we’ve drank with him, so maybe we should have taken him to the bar for this interview.

Thankfully, he’s joined by effusive artists Andy Kubert and Klaus Janson, the respective penciler and inker on DC’s biggest project of the year, the ominously entitled Dark Knight III: The Master Race. The trio talked about what it’s like tackling a legacy project and staying in the style of visionary Frank Miller. If you like what you see, the book’s out today in comic shops everywhere.

And hey, don’t miss the rest of our adventures at New York Comic-Con 2015.

It's the most fun you can have sober unless you're having sex...but let's be honest, nobody at Comic Con has sex.

Brendan McGinley is editor round these parts when not writing comics or Cracked columns. You can say a neighborly hello to him on Twitter @BrendanMcGinley. You’d probably enjoy his supervillain comic Heist, if you’re a fan of tarnished souls and brutal retribution.

Down we go.

Crime pays.

Brendan interviewed Azzarello not so long ago about Future’s End.

Yep, definitely not a good sign.

Definitely not a good sign.
